PNw Fall hikes and funny jokes

Washington

Ever hiked through an impressionist painting? That's what hitting the Sahale Arm trail in Washington feels like. They call it the "American Alps," and let me tell you, these hills do not disappoint. Trees toss golds and reds around like they're going out of style. – With a moderate-to-difficult rating, this hike will get your heart pumping as you climb to some jaw-dropping alpine views.

Oregon

Imagine vibrant waters of Clear Lake as your canvas. Here, every fallen leaf pops against that backdrop like nature’s fireworks. It’s a 5-mile loop with just 560 feet of elevation gain, making it a moderately easy trek—and you're going to want to take your time soaking in all the beauty.

Idaho

Then in Idaho, things get even wilder! The Payette National Forest near McCall serves up a visual feast as you make your way to Duck Lake, the landscape is splashed with every fall color imaginable—bold oranges, yellows, fiery reds, and even soft greens. It’s like nature couldn’t decide which color palette to use, so it just threw them all in. This family-friendly hike is more of a leisurely stroll, perfect for when you want to feel outdoorsy without breaking too much of a sweat.
