Lost Lake & Wishing Trees

Ever Seen a Lake disappear?

It sounds like magic, doesn't it? Well, at Lost Lake in Sisters, Oregon, this quirky magic is reality. Every winter, it fills up, ready to dazzle. Come spring, it starts performing its vanishing act. By summer, where water once was, a serene meadow blooms. It's like the lake just says, "I'm out!", probably down a secretive lava tube.

Not far off, in Portland, there's a Tree of Wishes.

This isn't your regular tree. It stands laden with people's deepest wishes and is located on Northeast Morris and 7th. It's a clever way to share hopes and dreams!
