As Holli Fry raised her family, she found herself frequently searching for books that would bring her children closer to God either by retelling Bible stories in a child-friendly way or through imaginative fiction that encourages Christian values. She and her husband spent many an evening reading to their children and still enjoy this activity with their rapidly-growing host of grandchildren. Hoping to add to the collection of quality Christian literature for children, in 2021, Holli published her first book, Amena's Quest, an allegorical middle-grade novel about a young girl and her search for the king. Since then Holli has published five children's picture books and a workbook to accompany the novel. All are designed to enhance children's understanding of the Bible and to encourage them in their walk with God. Christian Indie Books Was created by Carol Neelands to be a resource center for Cristian readers to discover books by independent Christian authors. Carol has written several books including two biographies and a Russian Mennonite Trilogy, Susie's Story, Susie's Journey, and Susie's Calling. In late 2023 she became aware of the lack of options for independent Christian authors to display their work. Thus Christian Indie Books was born and is now beginning to fill that gap. More books are being added daily and thanks to Christian Indie Books the opportunity for Christian authors to connect with their brand of readers is expanding. Christian Indie books is not affiliated with any one specific denomination, but it stands on the principle that the Bible is God's Word and can be relied upon. It insists upon clean language and no graphic sex scenes in any of the books, and expects all their authors to follow those guidelines.
